Matt & Brett flew in from Philly Thursday Night Dec. 10. We began the adventure with a traditional quesadilla night.
Matt , Brett & I woke up early Saturday morning and headed towards Fort Collins, and then on to Walden, Co, up route 14 for some snowshoeing. We decided to session a couple skate parks in Fort Collins first. Only problem was they were snow covered. The first park was unridable so we posed for pics and headed to the next park. Here we had to shovel a little to clear a little space. The only shovel I had was my camping dust pan. So Matt & Brett immediately put it to good use .

We headed up Route 14 and stopped at Le Poudre falls. We hiked down to them to get a better vantage point.
Le Poudre falls in summer for some perspective.

When we arrived at Long Draw Road near Walden. My thought was to drive up it to where Lisa and I saw Moose in the Summer. I got a little excited ignored all the signs, like vehicle more likely being able to drive this road being parked in a lot across the street. so I gunned it got about 25 yards and planted in a snow drift. We spent the next 45 minutes digging out with our snowshoes as shovels. The back tires were of the ground. We finally saw a pick up truck stop and asked him to pull us out. He was from Wisconsin. This put us a little behind but we trekked out anyway.

After an Adventurous day we headed back to the City and had a fantastic Mediterranean dinner at Lisa's Dads house.
Sunday morning Matt, Brett, Lisa, David , Michelle and Me headed for Breckenridge to get a full day of riding in.
I did not get many photos of this day at Breck but it snowed most of the day snow conditions were good and we ripped it all day. Later that day Lisa, Brett, Matt and I stayed at the Pine Lodge Condos in Breck at Four O' Clock Rd. We had a Tortellini Dinner with our choice of Red Or White sauce compliments of Lisa. Spent sometime in the hot tub to get ready for the next day of boarding.
Monday Morning we awoke early and split for Vail. We had already put the dust pan to good use so Matt cleared the windows with the Brush.
We got a delayed start this morning because I misplaced the key to the Ski locker in the snow below my car. We finally got a new one from the front desk got our boards loaded and then I found the other key in the snow. Brett twittleing his thumbs as we wait for departure.

After a few days of cloudy skis we were blessed to ride a day at Copper like this. Not a cloud in the sky.
We hiked this jump and a few boxes and sessioned for awhile.

Vista on the way to loveland pass.
It was now Wednesday morning and we had decided we were going to ride the pass, the day before there had been an avalanche . We steered clear of any avalanche prone areas.
This pic is from the summit of Loveland pass looking at the avalanche area. The Bowl we are looking at is extremely prone to avalanches it is about and hour hike over to that area we choose to drop straight down in to the trees and avoid the bowls.
This is he summit we drop of here and pic-up at one of the turns towards the bottom. The runs are fairly short but fills with steep chutes, and fresh pow. There is even a pretty nice kicker down toward the end of the run.
Droping off at the summit.
Picking up at the end of the run.

After our session at LP we headed back toDenver. We grabbed some pizza and then headed for sa session at Denver skatepark.
It was now Thursday morning and we had to have Brett and Matt to DIA by 9:00 am. That gave us just enough time to hit up the Auirora skatepark for a quick session.
That concludes the Blog for this trip. I want to thank Brett and Matt for coming out again it has been the highlight of my year for the last two years. Ihave already been planning next winters adventure so hopefully you can make it out again.
